Overview
SiteGround Speed Optimizer offers basic caching and minification but lacks features like critical CSS generation, unused CSS removal, JavaScript delay, and image optimizations. To achieve excellent Core Web Vitals, use it alongside a dedicated plugin such as FlyingPress, Perfmatters, or WP Rocket.

Perfect scores aren’t necessary when combining optimization plugins. Focus on overlapping features—caching, browser caching, CSS/JS settings, and lazy load—and disable duplicates in one tool.

2. Caching
- Dynamic Caching: On (off if using Cloudflare APO due to conflicts).
- File-based Caching: On (disable if another cache plugin handles it).
- Memcached: On (activate in Site Tools first).
- Preheat Cache: On (automatically warms the cache via sitemap).

3. Environment
- HTTPS Enforce: On.
- GZIP Compression: On.
- Heartbeat Optimization: Disable on admin/frontend, leave on editor only.
- Scheduled Database Optimization: Off (use WP-Optimize).

4. Frontend Optimization
- Minify CSS/JS/HTML: On.
- Combine CSS/JS: Off (can slow HTTP/2/3).
- Defer Render-Blocking JS: On, exclude broken files.
- Web Fonts Optimization: On (self-host and preload).

5. Media Settings
- Image Compression: Off (use CDN or dedicated optimizer).
- Use WebP: On (quality 80%).
